BIOGRAPHY
Sorcerer of sounds. Weaver of musical worlds.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Diego Tejeida touched his first piano keys—and began his foray into the music scene—at age 5. An accomplished keyboardist and self-taught guitarist, Diego gained renown in Mexico as a teenager, performing with various metal bands on large festival stages. At age 18, Diego relocated to London, where his studies at Point Blank Music School and the London College of Creative Media deepened his knowledge of sound design, composition, music production, and performance. His vast musical influences include jazz, electronic, ambient, gothic, and minimalistic music.
Diego has toured all over the world, performing on thousands of stages in hundreds of cities spanning 5 continents. His live performances include tenures with TEMIC (2022–present), Haken (2008–2021), Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress (2017), and Devin Townsend (2019–present), as well as keyboard and sound design lessons and clinics across the globe. His studio credits include session work for dozens of bands, and his custom-designed patch banks can be found on synthesizers and instruments from a variety of companies.
Diego resides in Mexico City, where he produces and engineers bands from his studio, The Bunker. He is a bilingual speaker of Spanish and English.
“Diego is one of those rare keyboardists that can combine technique & technology with balls & attitude... The level of precision he nailed the Dream Theater and LTE material with me was astounding and he played it ALL with such energy and enthusiasm. I love Diego!!!”
